Another photograph from my visit to the bird show, this is a Harris Hawk. The sky was so dark here, the storm was about to start! I hope you'll enjoy this photo! This is a gorgeous capture. The colors of the Harris Hawk - mainly the rufus-colored feathers - against the ominous storm clouds makes for a very intense atmosphere. I feel a strong sense of anticipation looking at this.

One of my favourite raptors the Harris Hawk. Here's an interesting fact, Harris Hawk's are the third most successful pack hunters behind Hunting Dogs and Wolves, not bad for a bird of prey. -- Why not check out my gallery and website I'll see if I can find the original file when I get home
