Contract signed :D + a new LJ

I made myself a LiveJournal account, so you guys won't have to hear my rambles here anymore... (I didn't ramble here that much anyway..... but anyhow... you can go to [link] to learn more about what's going on in my live and get some sneakpeaks of new photos/drawings which might or might not be uploaded here....)

So Irin and I signed the contract :D

We are moving in on September the 1st. Before that time we can paint and put in a new floor and stuff.

The landlord (does anybody know a better word ^^;) will pay for a new floor (in certain area's of the house) and paint. That saves us a lot of money :D

We will see if we can put in a laminate floor. Probably a darker floor because the bedroom and kitchen are so light (we will ask if we can put a new floor in the bedroom, hallway and kitchen because the floor there is not that beautiful...).

Lots of work coming up... but I am excited :D

Next week it will be the last week of college... so a few tests to go before holiday starts.... I'm going to learn now... :3 Bye!

Fun stuff for you! I personally don't like laminate, but it is cheap, easy to install and they are making better designs then they used to. You can even get laminates that look like wood floors.

I think it is... but it sounds like we have a huge piece of land like that.... :XD:

And Irin had to study with a Korean studymate and we told him about the house and he said landlord wasn't the right word... but he didn't know what the right word was...

I do mean the 'house boss'... if you get what I mean... ^^;

The problem is that the hallway and kitchen have an ugly floor... if we choose laminate we might be able to replace those by laminate... and the laminate we choose seems to look good.... I mean... There is this lumolium (??) stuff in the kitchen with a woodprint :XD:

If we can't replace it, it's fine... but it's would be better (looking) to replace it :)

Well, good luck with it all! And ultimately, as long as you like the floor (and your landlord does too . . . ) that's all that matters anyways! If you end up in your place long-term, or if your landlord will finance it, you can lay tile directly on linolium (or however you spell it) and laminate. Hope it all goes smooth for you.

Really? But but but...I LIVE in the US... I mean I've grown up here...what else would it be?? herm... let me think . Landowner, landholder, proprietor, owner...but none of them seem to be as direct and correct to me. The landlord is the person who charges you rent and makes sure you're following house rules and stuff...he owns the land and everything. That's who you mean right ? ^^;
